Our identity can be shaped by serving others. Participants in service enter the lifelong discernment process of how as a uniquely gifted individual they respond to the authentic needs of the larger world and community. It also allows for those serving to understand those being "served" are also individuals who have a vocation or calling. This is a key point; we are all created by God and are called to live in the world. At the local level, opportunity exists to engage in service in your church and community.
