Luther Seminary educates leaders for Christian communities called and sent by the Holy Spirit to witness to salvation through Jesus Christ and to serve in God's world. It traces its history through a series of mergers to its founding in 1869. The seminary is a member of the Minnesota Consortium of Theological Schools, and it is clustered with Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, drawing support from the entire ELCA and the western regions of this church and serving a broad national and international constituency. It offers seven fully accredited degrees from the master's level through a research doctorate.
