What is ArMSS?
The
Area Ministry Stewardship Staff
serves as part of the ELCA churchwide stewardship
ministry team. They
provide stewardship leadership to synods
and congregations, including:
- Focus on laying a deep, broad and
long-term foundation for stewardship growth based on faith and
generosity
- Connect personal faith with the
management of time, abilities and finances
- Help a congregation build on its
potential as a stewardship congregation
- Offer new resources, skills and
guided practice to build steward leaders
How is
ArMSS
available?
Any lay member, pastor, congregation
or synod may participate. These services for stewardship renewal are
available on request and may be customized for congregations and
synods. Modules may change from year to year based on interests and
needs. Special local, synodical and regional events are also
available.
How much does
it cost?
Cost is shared by the ELCA, synod
and local congregations for many modules. Actual cost is based on the
module(s) selected and the number of congregations participating. The
ELCA underwrites a percentage of the expenses, making these services
affordable for every congregation.
