Introducing: Caring for Health, Our Shared Endeavor

A new social statement of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.


Caring for Health: Our Shared Endeavor is the ELCA’s eighth social statement, was adopted on August 15, 2003 by the eighth biennial Churchwide Assembly at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The following bulletin insert has been designed to introduce the congregation to the new social statement and offer ideas for integrating the statement into the life of the church.

The insert includes:

  • Ideas for using Caring for Health in a congregation
  • A prayer for health, healing, and health care
