A Social Statement on Education

“Our Calling in Education” was adopted as amended by the 2007 Churchwide Assembly by a vote of 949-35.

The text of the social statement appears by clicking on the link below and may be downloaded for the information and use of interested individuals, congregations, synods, and other organizations affiliated with the ELCA and may be copied for local use.

The text of Our Calling and Education and its Implementing Resolutions will be prepared for printing during the Fall of 2007. The Church in Society program unit expects that printed copies will be ready for distribution some time in January of 2008. A Spanish translation will also be prepared and the unit expects it to be ready for distribution later in 2008.
