For 17 years, Pericope Partners provided
vignettes of ELCA ministries that connected with the weekly lectionary
texts.
The decision to discontinue it is rooted not in the
relative merit or use of Pericope Partners, but it reflects a change in
emphasis.
New stories will be available for download in
2008 when Stories of Faith in Action is launched. This annual resource
will take the place of Making Christ Known. There will be more than 20
short articles about ELCA members and ministries that are sharing God's love and
doing God's work for the sake of the world. We will also provide these stories
copy-ready for use in bulletins and newsletters.
In the meantime, if you need content for your bulletin for the next few
months, consider using the stories included in the 2007 issue of
Making Christ Known. There are eight bulletin inserts available for download.
