The
Living Nonviolence Peace Camp was held at the Lutheran School of
Hope in Ramallah in July 2007. The camp is a ministry of Love
Thy Neighbor, an ecumenical organization dedicated to provide
educational resources and programs about the plight of
Palestinians in Palestine/Israel and to support both peoples'
deepening commitment to nonviolence as the way to bring a just
peace for themselves and their neighbors. See video blog.
Folk Dance Tour - From Ramallah
in the West Bank a group of young folk dancers traveled to the
United States to share their culture and help Americans
understand who they are and how they live. The teens are members
of the Al Raja Palestinian Folkloric Dance Troupe at the
Evangelical Lutheran School of Hope in Ramallah.
Mount of Olives Housing Project
- Christians in the Holy Land need our help. Together we
can build a housing project that will help alleviate the
critical shortage of housing and strengthen the dwindling
Christian presence in Jerusalem.

Augusta Victoria Hospital
- The LWF has been providing health
care services to refugees and other Palestinians in the occupied
Palestinian territory for over 50 years through Augusta Victoria
Hospital (AVH). The LWF serves patients regardless of race, gender,
religious belief, nationality, ethnic origin, or political
persuasion.
The Lutheran
World Federation Department for World Service, Jerusalem -
Headquarters located in Geneva, LWF Jersalem focuses on
Emergency assistance through development, advocacy, peace and
reconciliation initiatives, and disaster relief; Service to
refugees, those living in poverty, and the marginalized; and
Ecumenical partnerships (LWF is a member of Action by Churches
Together).
International Center of
Bethlehem - The ICB is a Lutheran-based,
ecumenically-oriented institution serving the whole Palestinian
community. The programs of the Center serve the entire community
from “the womb to the tomb”, with an emphasis on children, youth
and women.
