Accompany

ELCA Global Mission seeks to accompany by walking with others in relationships of interdependence, respect, and mutuality. In that spirit the ELCA Peace Not Walls campaign from its inception has cultivated an exchange of perspectives and gifts with Palestinian Christians and Muslims and with Christian ecumenical and American and Israeli Jewish peace partners. This accompaniment is about a God who is in mission among us, about learning together and being transformed together, and about building the capacity of all to learn, pray, and act for peace with justice in the Holy Land.

Accompaniment and Travel - Information on organizations and programs, upcoming trips/seminars to the region, reports from past trips, travel books and what to do after your trip.

Communion Ware - Each of the 65 ELCA synods received a set of communion ware at the 2005 Churchwide Assembly, launching the new campaign “Peace Not Walls - Stand for Justice in the Holy Land.” The communion ware, crafted in Bethlehem, is intended to travel from congregation to congregation and to be used in annual synod assemblies.

Prayer - Support both Israelis and Palestinians by taking part in a churchwide effort to pray for peace.

Giving Catalog - Donate online through the ELCA Good Gifts Catalog.

Reports - Reports from past Holy Land trips.
