O most merciful
Father, who commits the love and care of people in very real
danger to the chaplains of our church, graciously be with and
prosper all those who are engaged in this ministry. Let them
be blessed abundantly as they bring ease to the stressed and
suffering, and as they minister to the wounded and dying, and
grant them the peace that only you can give; though Jesus Christ
our Lord. Amen.
