TurnAround Congregations offers an opportunity to refocus on mission/vision and plan for ministry in a new day. For congregations that have plateaued or are slowly declining but without dysfunction and internal conflict, this training is provided by the Evangelical Outreach and Congregational Mission unit in partnership with Division for Congregational Ministries and synods on a regional/synodical basis. Congregations agree to follow-up at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months after the event to maintain and monitor progress.

Scheduling a training event - Turn Around Events are scheduled for groups of congregations within a defined geographic area. They may involve a cluster, a synod, or a multi-synod group. Generally, at least five congregations are needed to schedule an event. If you are interested in being a part of such a process, contact your synod office or mission director. You will receive help in setting up the event, bringing in appropriate workshop leaders, and preparing for participation.
