a partner ELCA ministry. That support takes many forms,
including prayer, volunteer services, "in kind" gifts,
and financial gifts. Through such gifts a Mission Partner
contributes to the effective proclamation of the Gospel (in both

Starting
New Congregations in the United States
New congregations are
started in areas of the country that are growing rapidly,
where the ethnicity of the community has changed, and in
"pioneer" communities where the Lutheran church
has not traditionally been prominent. Your financial
support of this important ministry will go towards the $175,000 needed over three years to provide the mission
developer’s compensation package. Please consider being
an important part of the building of a new congregation.

Lutheran Deaf
Congregations
More
than 95% of the deaf community is unchurched. Therefore,
the 12 ELCA congregations for people who have been deaf
since birth or an early age seek to prepare its current
membership to witness so that they may reach those who do
not yet know the saving love of God through Jesus Christ. Your support
can help break the barriers of silence, bringing the Word
into more lives.

Seward
Peninsula Lutheran Ministry Endowment
This ministry was created to provide long-term support
for the ELCA Alaska Native (Eskimo) congregations in
Alaska. These Christians maintain skills and disciplines
brought forth from antiquity, but also struggle with modern
society's most challenging problems. They exhibit a strong faith and
express a great love for the church and one another. Living a
"subsistence" lifestyle with few paid jobs, they are only
able to support their congregations to a limited extent.
