Mission Builders

Build Churches — Imagine yourself doing something different
Mission Builders make the time to help build churches. Perhaps they are retired, or have a flexible schedule. They come from across the United States to help a congregation that needs to build or repair a house of worship. The congregation provides volunteers, workers' compensation insurance and minimum wage for a forty-hour workweek. Mission Builders offer experience, energy and time.

Build Community — Join the Mission Builder community for fun, fellowship and hard work
All men and women who are handy and wish to use their skills to help congregations build are welcome. Some Mission Builders are professional contractors, builders, or carpenters, but most come from other walks of life: farmers, police officers, sales people, doctors, teachers, mechanics, pastors, etc. Those with experience help those with less experience. Christian principles are applied on the construction sites and each worker does what he or she can.

Build Faith — Deepen your own faith and witness to others
Mission Builders are active participants in the life of the host congregation. Daily devotions, Bible studies, and worship strengthen the faith life of both Mission Builders and members of the congregation.

Build Friendships — Meet people with hearts and hands ready to help
Mission Builders make friends with fellow builders and with the folks from the host communities. They travel throughout the country, making friends and witnessing to Christ’s presence in our world.

Build the Future — Make a difference
Mission Builders use their gifts in whatever ways they feel most comfortable, whether it be in the construction process, teaching Bible school, singing in the choir, preparing and serving meals, or participating in social ministry projects in the local community. They contribute to the future of our children, the future of our congregations and the future of a faithful community.
