Your participation is key to the ELCA reaching its goal of annually starting 100 new congregations by the year 2010. You can help in a variety of ways:

Pray
Pray for the proposed mission starts; for the congregations already under development that started over the last few years; for additional funding to enable the start of more congregations; and for creative, spirit-filled people to become leaders of these ministries.

Become
Become a mission developer yourself. Speak with other gifted individuals about full-time church ministry. Contact mission developers and find out who they are and what they do.

Sponsor
Sponsor a new congregation, either in an under-served area of your own community or where needed across the country.

Build
Build church facilities through the ELCA Mission Builders.

Volunteer
Volunteer at a new congregation or on your synod's Mission Partners committee.

Offer
Offer a financial gift to help a mission congregation reach out to its neighborhood.
