Title: We light the World
The title includes the whole community of faith, not just isolated individuals. We are part of the Lutheran church, an interwoven worldwide communion of Christians. In this part of the world, we work together with Lutheran World Relief, a highly regarded relief and development organization with six decades of experience in alleviating suffering.

Together with almost five million other Lutherans in the United States, we comprise the ELCA, a church body dedicated to revealing God’s amazing grace to the world. “Grace” can be seen when “light” – attention, deep awareness, faith, hope, hard work – is applied to the gritty realities of daily life. That’s what the world gets from God’s loving presence. We are that presence!
