As a person from the southern hemisphere, Dr. Mamy uses a common understanding to build
relationships with local people.
II. Three in One
Synopsis: "Three in One" is a great way to see ecumenism in action. The story
looks at Trinity Ecumenical Parish in Moneta, Virginia. Trinity is composed of three
congregations, Presbyterian, Episcopalian and Lutheran, who worship and program together.
III.
The Word Made Visible
Synopsis: Does your congregation make use of the visual arts? The
1997 ELCA Churchwide Assembly action, "The Use and Means of Grace," calls for
focus on the visual arts in worship. In "The Word Made Visible," Jutta F.
Anderson explores the use of visual arts in the worship context. The story also features
the insights of renowned Lutheran artist Sandra Bowden.
