I. Forgiving the Unforgivable: Restorative Justice
The Nelson'sSynopsis: Have you been the victim of a crime? Chances are the answer is yes. Restorative justice is a new way the ELCA and other denominations are shedding light on the rights of victims, their families he offender and the community they live in. We'll meet the parents of a South Dakota man who as gunned down by his roommate. In prison, the offender reached out to his victim's parents and asked for forgiveness. With the help of the church, they were able to grant forgiveness. You'll also see a creative home construction project inside the walls of the Illinois prison system.
