I.
A Gift to Children: A Look Back at Davey and Goliath
Synopsis:
Mosaic looks at the successful children's television series that began
airing in 1961. We interviewed R. Marshall Stross, former executive director of Davey and
Goliath, for the Lutheran Church in America. We also spoke with Ruth Clokey Goodell and
Art Clokey, the animation team that created Davey. One interesting footnote: During
research we discovered that Joe Clokey, the son of Art and Ruth Clokey, is a video
producer. Joe and his wife Jora went to Covena, California, to record the interview with
Ruth.
II. The Garden Angel of Baltimore
Synopsis: This story looks at Gloria Luster and her urban gardens in Baltimore's inner
city. Gloria has taken dozens of abandoned lots and turned them into lush
gardens. Funded by the ELCA Hunger appeal, this project and Gloria's work are
touching many lives.
III.
Daddy's Home!
Synopsis: In this story
Mosaic visits three men and asked them how Lutheran Men in Mission
is helping them as fathers.
IV. Festival of Word and Deed: ELCA Festival Gathering Promotional Video
Synopsis: This is a Seraphim production that plugs the gathering in Minneapolis.
Warning! This video contains a rare display of Lutheran humor. Viewer discretion for stoic
print people is advised.
