I. A Plains Pentecost
Synopsis:  MOSAIC profiles a creative rural ministry in eastern North Dakota. A tiny group of  ELCA congregations found themselves without a pastor. Faced with declining populations and soaring costs, it appeared these churches were destined to close. Instead, the congregations pooled their resources, teamed with a Presbyterian church and formed an eight-congregation rural cooperative known at Tri-county ministry.

II. Go in Peace, Serve the Lord
Synopsis:  In 1995 voting members to the ELCA's Churchwide Assembly in Minneapolis adopted a social statement calling for peace in God's world. The statement and its nine related recommendations ask Lutherans to pray for peace, to renew an identity as a community of peace and study the scriptural background for peace.  MOSAIC profiles retired United States Army General William Tuttle. Tuttle was a key member of the task force and helped to shape the ELCA's peace statement.
