“Nothing
really important will ever happen in the
church without prayer.”
Thomas Skrenes,
Bishop, Northern
Great Lakes Synod
Go on a prayer journey across the Church.
In the Northern Great Lakes Synod, the internet is helping connect people who
pray. Learn about a prayer scrapbooking
ministry in Rochelle, Illinois.
Intercessory prayer ministry is modeled by
Bethlehem Lutheran, an urban, African
American congregation in New Orleans.
This DVD also explores the scriptural
foundation for prayer and Martin
Luther’s thoughts on prayer. Use the Fall
2005 Mosaic Television offering as a great
way to get a prayer ministry started in
your congregation.

Please pray for Pastor Patrick Keen
and the members of Bethlehem. More
than 100 Bethlehem members are
unaccounted for. The congregation
suffered one confirmed death due to
Hurricane Katrina. The building
sustained minimal damage and minimal
flooding. According to Pastor Keen,
“The neighborhood around Bethlehem
is a ghost town. We have to start
the ministry all over again.”
