Mosaic introduces Presiding ELCA Bishop H. George Anderson.
Anderson was installed as bishop, Nov. 18, 1995 and began his role as pastor, teacher and
leader of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The eight-minute

provides a candid profile of Anderson, who was the president of Luther College in Decorah,
Iowa.

Synopsis:
Mosaic takes you to the Western Hemisphere's poorest country, Haiti, where
Lutherans are hard at work with impoverished people on the island of Hispaniola. We
meet Mercedes, a Haitian woman living in a refugee came in the Dominican Republic.
With help from the Lutheran World Federation, Mercedes is teaching language classes and
learning to sew. |
