Once, life was simpler. It seemed easy to be
the church. Neighbors seemed to share similar values. Stores, malls,
soccer tournaments, and work schedules yielded to Sunday morning as a
time for worship. Churches were built, and people came.

church meetings conclude with decisions that begin, “It has
seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us...”? What would happen
in our congregations if we followed the example of the earliest
Christians and did just that?
