Totota Lay Leaders
and Ministry Training Center offers more programming
There
are approximately 70 pastors, 112 ordained deacons and dozens of
evangelists in the Lutheran Church in Liberia (LCL). The LCL’s
theological training center and bible school for lay leaders and
ministers, based in Totota, Bong County, serves to provide them with
additional training and education to increase the effectiveness of their

USS Synod continues
accompaniment of LCL
The Upper Susquehanna Synod of the
ELCA continues its faithful accompaniment of the Lutheran Church in
Liberia. In November of 2007, it will send yet one more container of
supplies for the LCL, and its schools and health care ministries. This
will be the synod’s 23rd shipping container sent since 1991.

A one-page, two-sided flyer is now available for
downloading. It
outlines several ways to make a gift to support relief, reconstruction and
development
efforts in Liberia.
The flyer details how to make donations to Liberia through the Stand With
Africa campaign,
as well as ways to help fund specific projects in Liberia that have been
prioritized by the
Lutheran Church in Liberia and the Division for Global Mission of the ELCA.
Special projects
include: a new generator for Curran Lutheran Hospital, support for Phebe
Hospital and School
of Nursing, Reconstruction Projects of Lutheran Church in Liberia (LCL)
and the LCL’s
Education Scholarship Program.
Interested churches or individuals may download, print out and distribute
this flyer to help
interpret how ELCA mission funds are used to help church-related projects
