Plenary Sessions
On Thursday night, Friday morning and evening, and Saturday morning, the GME community gathers for a plenary that begins with lively global music and singing and lifts up compelling speakers who share the “big picture” in ways that open our world view and inspire us to action.

Global University Sessions

These one-hour teaching sessions are led by missionaries, international participants, and others involved in the global and domestic ministry of the ELCA. This year’s GME will offer over 80 sessions in seven time slots.

Global University Tracks
There will be three-session “Tracks” again this year.

Global Music
Global music is a wonderful gift that we receive from countries and churches all around the world. At the GME you’ll experience music as a strong tool for building and nurturing community and extending hospitality—the way it is used in community-based cultures. Plus, you’ll take home exciting new music to include in your own congregation’s liturgies.

Children’s Program
Every year the Children’s Program is rated outstanding by kids 3-10 and their parents. The “pint-sized” GME includes fun lessons and activities and dozens of encounters with missionaries and international guests. “My child met more people than I did!” said one parent. Kids also participate in mission projects, and learn music that they perform during Global Fest and Sunday morning worship. Children in this program must be pre-registered. Check out the children's program schedule.

Junior and Senior High School Program
The junior and senior high program celebrate the gathering of God’s story through the lives of young people. The program attempts to journey with youth as they reflect on the many voices and influences that bombard their world. Through listening, sharing and reflecting, young people have an opportunity to decipher God’s call—in the midst of diverse cultural messages—to walk with our brothers and sisters around the world.

The Senior High School Program will be held this year at The Ohio State Lutheran Campus Ministry Chapel, at 45 E. 13th Avenue, Columbus, just three blocks away from Mershon auditorium.  Google map directions from Mershon Auditorium to the Chapel.
