As a service to your individual members we invite you to link your congregational website to the ELCA Foundation website at www.elca.org/fo.  The language you could include on your website might be: "For information concerning all aspects of charitable estate planning, including charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, outright gifts and bequests for ministry, (your congregation name) invites you to be aware of the free services of the ELCA Foundation."

Free Wills/Estate/Gift Planning Seminars
A Foundation Regional Gift Planner will come to your congregation and present an estate planning seminar and then meet privately with those who request a confidential visit.  There is no cost or obligation to the congregation or your members, the Foundation staff have nothing to sell and all of our staff are on salary and earn no commission or bonuses for their work.   Call or E-mail your Regional Gift Planner to set a date.

Free Brochures & Bulletin Inserts
Your congregation can order ELCA Foundation brochures and bulletin inserts on a wide range of estate planning and planned giving topics.  Check our list of Brochures & Bulletin Inserts.   Individual copies may be ordered from the Foundation, while multiple congregation orders are available from the Augsburg Fortress Distribution Center 1-800-328-4648.

Making Gifts for Ministries Happen
Your congregation can use the services of the Foundation both as a pass-through service for outright gifts and as your agent for life income gifts, like charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts.  Our Regional Gift Planners can show you how the Foundation can process gifts from your members of appreciated securities for a fraction of the cost you might pay locally.  The ELCA Foundation manages over $140 million in active life income gifts, with over 70% of the charitable remainder of those gifts designated to return to local ministries.... like your congregation.

Mission Endowment Fund Management
Your congregation can invest its mission endowment fund with the ELCA Endowment Fund Pooled Trust and join many other ELCA congregations and institutions in investing your mission endowment funds for a steady quarterly distribution and long term growth.   Your Regional Gift Planner can explain the service in person to you and your church leadership.  They can show you how with their help you can promote your congregational endowment fund and its mission.
