Life Long Learning Opportunities

Life-long
learning, or “continuous learning” as some have called it, is
one of the eleven theological imperatives from the 1995 Study of
Theological Education. This Division for Ministry (now Vocation
and Education unit) study report
concluded its remarks on this imperative: “...this church must
encourage
and provide resources for its lay and ordained leaders to
continually develop and renew their gifts for ministry through
disciplined patterns of life-long learning.”
The ELCA’s
Vocation and Education unit has collaborated with
other denominations to offer Faith and Wisdom, an online
searchable database that allows you to locate learning
opportunities throughout the world — and in your own back yard.
We hope that you will take advantage of this service as you
actively seek to live as Christians stirred by God’s Spirit and
led by Christ’s Gospel. To go to the Faith and Wisdom Web site,
