 As a Christian,
you know the power of the Good News. As a communicator, you know the
go-and-tell importance of sharing faith using a variety of methods. As
an evangelist, you are looking for effective ways to invite more and
more people to “come and hear” so they too may “go and tell.”
In these downloadable files you’ll find a variety of print ads developed
for your congregation to use in its evangelism outreach ministry. Choose
the ads you think will work best in your area. The ads were designed for
newspaper placement, but there are other possibilities for their use as
well. Use the different sizes available here to create posters, bulletin
inserts, door-hangers, fliers and direct mail pieces.
All the ads are sized for two-, three-, or four-column newspaper
placement. When buying ad space we recommend that you avoid the religion
pages of the newspaper and ask instead for placement in the family,
community, or activities section for greatest visibility and highest
response rate. This way you can reach people who normally wouldn’t read
the religion section.
The ads are designed with space at the bottom for your congregation’s
address and phone number, worship schedule, Web site, or any other
information you think your audience may need to find you (preview
example).* For best
results, the newspaper will add this material for you. Simply direct
your newspaper contact person to this ELCA Website at
www.elca.org/elcaads to download the
ad(s) of your choice and fill in the necessary information. This will
result in cleaner, brighter copy and graphics than you would get if you
provided printed material processed on a laser printer.
