Background and Mission
Lutheran Disaster Response has a long history of dedicated
and creative ministry on behalf of those affected by natural and
human-caused disasters. The mission of Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR)
is to demonstrate Christ’s compassion for people by promoting hope,
healing, and wholeness for disaster survivors.
The LDR disaster preparedness grant is the mechanism that assists in
building capacity and competency across the Lutheran Disaster Response
network.
