| Students, faculty and staff from the LCMS Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, walked out to
form Concordia Seminary in Exile, later Christ Seminary Seminex in 1974. In 1983, staff
and students deployed primarily to Chicago, but also to other LCA or ALC seminaries. In
1987, Seminex merged into the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.
