Marketing as Servant
Leadership
Presenter: Beth A. Lewis

firmly into the concept of servant leadership. The basics of
marketing can (and should) be used by Christians to proclaim the
gospel and invite others into the body of Christ. By the end of this

how it can be applied to the life of the congregation or other
church-related organizations in reaching our neighbors.
Point, Shoot, Post
Presenter:
Brett Nelson and Solomon Fong
You've heard of YouTube. Now you, too, can use this medium to share
the work of your congregation and synod. We will walk you through
the process of shooting a very basic video and then uploading that
video to the Web. This workshop will take you from beginner to
beginner who has a video on YouTube, VideoGoogle and other similar
Web sites.
Technology and
Marketing for Results
Presenter:
Rick Klau
In his keynote
presentation to the ELCA Communicators Conference Rick will focus on
using Web-based tools to improve your work, how to measure the
impact of technology and using social media. In this hands-on
workshop, Rick will demonstrate these applications that will make
the Web more useful and powerful for you. Rick will review online
resources such as Google Analytics (learn how your site is
discovered and navigated); Google Apps (free, Web-based
collaborative word processing and spreadsheets); Facebook/MySpace;
and Social Media (Digg, Del.icio.us, StumbleUpon) Participants will
guide this interactive session, and Rick will answer your questions.
