This large group celebration provides a culminating event for the journey through the Searchlight program itinerary. It highlights the story of the Wise Men in Matthew 2, using "The Picture Party" Bingo game as a framework and proceeds to engage participants in a renewed commitment to their own faith journey with "A Blessing for Those Who Search."

Searchlight is set in the context of a journey and Ali, a playful personification of one of the Wise Men's Camels will set the pace for the journey and bring it to its noble conclusion with this Searchlight celebration.

Necessary Preparations and Supplies:

	Copies of the "Lessons, Songs and Prayers" reproducible sheet
	A Piano or other form of accompaniment
	A manger and a baby
	Bathrobes or costumes for Mary, Joseph and other nativity characters.
	The script for " Ali the Camel's Adventure, Part 2" (found in printed resource)
	Locate the song, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and "This Little Light of Mine."
	LifeSongs (Augsburg Fortress) includes a reference for "This Little Light of Mine."

You may also wish to display "This Little Light of Mine" along with "Twinkle, Twinkle Jesus Star" from the Lessons, Songs and Prayers sheet on poster board, using pictures or symbols for the young children to follow.

Review the script and gather the necessary people and accessories to present the skit, " Ali the Camel's Adventure, Part 2" You may wish to have someone do a dramatic reading of the camel part while the people within the camel costume make gestures appropriate to the content of the dialogue. Schedule a time to rehearse the skit in the stage area you will be using for the actual presentation.

Scan the activity description sheet for "The Picture Party" to give you additional insight about this resource. Make a sample "Sights-to-See" picture album for Ali to use as a prop.
