The Info Drive-thru
Centers are designed to nurture a sense of continuity between
Christian discipleship and Lutheran community. Each of the five
crafts and activities will identify a "key" concept that
will "open the door" to understanding what it means to be
a Christian from a Lutheran perspective. Several resources have been
designed to clarify and support the learnings at each center. The "I'm
a Lutheran" song, the "I'm
A Lutheran" passport/coloring book and the
"Lutheran Keys
to the Faith" are all recommended to
 |
enrich
the theme of the program, |
 |
create
a sense of continuity between the various concepts |
 |
provide
a concrete, big picture understanding of the Lutheran faith. |
The "I'm
a Lutheran" song provides a thematic framework for the
Welcome Center and the Info Drive-thru Centers. The "I'm
A Lutheran" passport/coloring book illustrates specific
concepts in a child-friendly way and provides symbols for linking
the line drawings to the various topics addressed at each center.
Souvenir key chains are also recommended in Keys for Cruisin' to
identify the symbols as essential "keys to the faith." The
symbols are also available on the Luther's Info Drive-thru pattern
sheet to trace and enlarge for display at each center.
Description sheets for the crafts and
activities in the Welcome Center and the Info Drive-thru Centers
will give you options for introducing all of these resources.

Note: You may want to recruit
someone to portray Martin Luther to be the "MC" for the
entire event. He could welcome participants as they gather, provide
an introduction to the overall program, the Info Drive-thru Centers
and the supplementary resources at your large group presentation. He
might also portray the character of Luther in the "Cruisin'
with Luther" Info Drive-thru Center. |
