Mentoring is designed to bring two people together to grow in their spiritual lives and thereby encounter Jesus.

Within a mission context, a systematic and disciplined program of one-to-one mentoring can enhance a congregation’s faithfulness to the Great Commission. Mentoring seen in the context of word and Sacrament centrality, gives opportunities to renew spiritual lives and breathe new life into church relationships like the bare bones in Ezekiel. Religion literally means "to connect again." ("re"=again, "ligione"=ligament, connect)
