Formerly called the Outdoor Ministry School, The Outdoor Ministries Leadership Training Event is a general overview designed for all levels of camping professionals. 

All outdoor ministry staff and those interested in pursuing a career in outdoor ministries are invited to participate. The Program Event is not limited to program directors/camp directors,  administrators or executive directors are also encouraged to  participate.

The Outdoor Ministries Leadership Trainings are key components of the ELCA Outdoor Ministry Professional Standards Program.  

The Outdoor Ministries Leadership Training Events are designed to educate outdoor ministry professionals in the basic yet vital areas of camp administration and program. 

The Program Leadership Training Event will address 13 core competency areas, keys for all outdoor ministry leaders working in the area of Program and striving to build strong, faith-based programs for camps, conference, retreat and renewal centers. 

Sessions will give a broad overview of the topic and participants will come away with resources and ideas, as well as questions.

Participants will also share together in worship, recreation and fellowship.  There will also be unstructured time for networking and personal reflection.  Enjoy learning and sharing in the beautiful environment of Lake Tahoe!

Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (LOM) encourages, educates, equips, and empowers bold and faithful outdoor ministry leaders for service in the Church and the world.

LOM is an independent association of outdoor ministry organizations, professionals, board members, businesses, and students connected to Lutheran camping, conferences, and retreats.  LOM is closely connected to, but separate from ELCA Outdoor Ministry.
