WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY TO YOU?
Are you experiencing illness?
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
my whole life long.
Psalm 23
I lift up my eyes to the hills
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
He who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper;
the LORD is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The LORD will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time on and forevermore.
Psalm 121
Now Simon's mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told
him about her at once. He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up. Then the fever
left her, and she began to serve them.
That evening, at sundown, they brought to him all who were sick
or possessed with demons. And the whole city was gathered around the door. And he cured
many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and he would not
permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.
Mark 1:30-34
While he was saying these things to them, suddenly a leader of
the synagogue came in and knelt before him, saying, "My daughter has just died; but
come and lay your hand on her, and she will live." And Jesus got up and followed him,
with his disciples. Then suddenly a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for
twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak, for she said to
herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be made well." Jesus turned, and
seeing her he said, "Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well." And
instantly the woman was made well. When Jesus came to the leader's house and saw the flute
players and the crowd making a commotion, he said, "Go away; for the girl is not dead
but sleeping." And they laughed at him. But when the crowd had been put outside, he
went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.
Matthew 9: 18-25
They came to Jericho. As he and his disciples and a large crowd
were leaving Jericho, Bartimaeus son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the
roadside. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout out and say,
"Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Many sternly ordered him to be quiet,
but he cried out even more loudly, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Jesus stood
still and said, "Call him here." And they called the blind man, saying to him,
"Take heart; get up, he is calling you." So throwing off his cloak, he sprang up
and came to Jesus. Then Jesus said to him, "What do you want me to do for you?"
The blind man said to him, "My teacher, let me see again." Jesus said to him,
"Go; your faith has made you well." Immediately he regained his sight and
followed him on the way.
Mark 10:46-52
Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful?
They should sing songs of praise. Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders
of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the
Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone
who has committed sins will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and
pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful
and effective.
James 5:13-16
