The 1999 ELCA Churchwide Assembly took place from August 16 - 22, 1999, in Denver, Colorado. Hosting the last assembly of the 20th century, Rocky Mountain Synod Bishop Allan Bjornberg, his staff, and the synod's congregations graciously welcomed us to the Mile High City.

Since not everyone could make the trip to Denver, this site on the World Wide Web served as a kind of "Virtual Denver," which allowed everyone to see the materials considered by voting members.
