Voting Member Orientation

Is your parliamentary procedure a little rusty? Never been a voting member at a Churchwide Assembly before? Have we got an offer for you! On Monday, August 6, at 2:30 P.M., all voting members, but especially those who have never before been to an assembly, are invited to attend an orientation session in the Navy Pier plenary hall. Secretary Lowell G. Almen and other churchwide staff will review the major components of the Pre-Assembly Report as well as locate items quickly, highlight deadlines and why they are important, and discuss procedures to keep in mind during deliberation. Even assembly veterans say the review is a helpful way to prepare for the week. A good pre-assembly primer that highlights the responsibilities of voting members can be viewed below.
