The Youth Convo took opportunity to comment publicly about themes the assembly will address, such as evangelism and witnessing. One young speaker said, "We hope you found some inspiration here to better engage the questions of your youth back home."	030813_0031.jpg

Wednesday night, the 28 colleges and universities of the ELCA hosted special receptions for voting members and visitors; the presidents of many of the institutions were on hand to introduce people to their programs.	030813_0048.jpg

There are two prayer centers serving voting members and visitors, one in the assembly worship room in the Midwest Airlines Center, and another in the Milwaukee Hilton. They house aids to meditation such as places to kneel, hand labyrinths, journals and opportunities to post prayer concerns, thus to pray for others.	030813_0003.jpg

Milwaukee has been lightly foggy early in the mornings, but that hasn't deterred voting members and visitors from participating in the Board of Pensions' "Run, Walk 'n' Roll" exercise program. The object is simply to get out and get exercise; there's no mandatory minimum mileage ...	030813_pic2.jpg
