ELCA World Hunger Appeal director Lita Johnson puts her body on the line in the County Fair Dunk Tank sponsored by the Mission Investment Fund. If you have invested in the MIF, you get twice as many shots at dunking your favorite bureaucrat!

Friday morning's Bible study leader was Sue Setzer, diaconal minister from Charlotte, N.C.

 


Vice President Addie Butler chaired the formal question and answer session for the three candidates for presiding bishop at the beginning of Plenary Session #5.

The ELCA strives to be inclusive and accessible, in its churchwide assembly as well as in other expressions.

Friday evening, voting members and some visitors went to the Indianapolis Zoo for dinner and to honor H. George Anderson.
