Dr. Betty Nilsson, Missionary in India

Medical missionary, Dr. Betty Nilsson, 1878-1951, and patient at Rajahmundry Hospital, India. Dr. Nilsson was the first doctor sent to a mission field by the Augustana Lutheran Church. She sailed for India in 1908 and became an associate of Dr. Lydia Woerner. She remained in India until her retirement in 1948.
