Bible Translated in 1913

In a letter dated May 16, 1924, the man known as the Rajah of Ellore wrote the following to Dr. Kugler, “The little insight I possess in the spiritual realm is directly due to the influence your life work is exerting upon me. I now came to a position where I can confidently appeal to our Lord for help in all my doings with full faith in His saving power.” He goes on to say his ten year task of translating the New Testament into Telegu was nearly complete. Depicted is a copy of his Gospel of St. Matthew completed in 1913.
