St. Markus (St. Mark's) Norwegian Lutheran Church

In 1918 Pastor J.A. Moldstad and the St. Mark's congregation opted not to participate in the merger forming the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America, instead joining the newly-formed Norwegian Synod of the American Evangelical Lutheran Church, commonly known as the "Little" Norwegian Synod, and currently known as the Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

In 1946 St. Mark's absorbed St. Luke's Lutheran Church, another member of the "Little" Norwegian Synod.

In 1988 St. Mark's sold the church building at 1701 North Tripp Ave., which was later used by Pure In Heart Church. St. Mark's moved to 3101 N. Parkside and used the chapel off the main sanctuary of Christ Lutheran, an ELCA congregation. Around 2003, St. Mark's transferred their membership to the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
