United Lutheran Church of the Reformation

The United Lutheran Church of the Reformation, also known as Reformation Evangelical Lutheran Church, was organized in 1917 as a member of the General Synod in the South Bryn Mawr and Bencoma Park area of Chicago. Sunday School work begun in 1905 and canvassing started in 1916, led to the formation of the congregation on January 7, 1917. Lots were purchased in 1917 on the southwest corner of 80th Street and Jeffery Blvd., and a church building was built.

In 1964 it merged with St. Luke (1926, Augustana Synod) to form St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
