Our Savior's Lutheran Church |

Our Savior's Lutheran
Church (or Vor Frelsers norsk evangelisk lutherske menighet), a Norwegian Synod
congregation, was organized on January 18, 1858. Its original building (pictured below) was
constructed in 1859 at May and Erie Streets. Dedication was held March 27,
1859. On October 5, 1873 a second structure (pictured at left) at that
location was dedicated. |

![]() In 1888 a faction left Our Savior's to join Bethlehem Lutheran. In 1925 Our Savior's merged with St. Paul English Lutheran and Bethlehem Lutheran to form United Lutheran. In 1928 United moved to Oak Park, Ill. |
