Holy Communion Evangelical Lutheran Church

  Holy Communion Evangelical Lutheran Church was organized in 1935 as a member of the United Lutheran Church in America. It purchased a building at 424 E. 49th Street and had it remodeled into a small chapel and basement.

It dissolved in 1941, but was reorganized in 1943 as St. James Lutheran at 8000 S. Michigan Ave.
