Coordinator of Ministry
- St. Paul, Neenah
Title: Coordinator of Ministry
Reports To: Senior Pastor
Supervises: All Volunteers in all
areas in the life of the church
Function: Manages and administers
the non-pastoral needs of the church by directing, coordinating and
supervising the office, volunteer support and property maintenance. This
is a paid position.
Duties and Responsibilities With
Volunteers:
- The Coordinator of Ministry will seek
out, recruit and support volunteer enlistments for the purpose of
accomplishing the church's mission through a variety of needs, such
as special ministries, office assistance, visitations,
hospitality/fellowship, membership. communications and services, new
members, special interest groups and so forth.
- The volunteer Coordinator will oversee
all of the positions and groups in the church that require
volunteers. They will be responsible for the selection, training and
management of these people. They have the right to choose one main
Volunteer Coordinator for each area. That person would be
responsible for the training and supervision of their specific area.
The Volunteer Coordinator would then be supervised by the
Coordinator of Ministry.
The Coordinator of Ministry is
responsible for the following positions: (An asterisk means the
ministry coordinator will choose a "Volunteer Coordinator"
to manage this area.)
- Lay volunteer enlistment &
coordination
- Office Volunteers
- Confirmation Mentors
- Prayer Partners *
- Pre and Post Baptismal Ministry
- Shut-In Visitation *
- Care Team Coordinator *
- Communion Distribution Helpers
- Bereavement After Care...
Befriending
- Stephen Ministry *
- Hospitality - Outreach -
Evangelism *
- Visitor Hospitality *
- Information Center on Sundays
- Family Service Groups
- New Member Bonding
- Couples Club
- Small Group Ministry
- Service Trips with Retired Groups
- Fellowship Events: Mother's Day,
Father's Day, Santa Lucia, Thanksgiving, etc.
- Stewardship Dinners *
Supervises the Maintenance Crew
Leader, facility repairs and modifications, property security and
any other property requirements.
- Responds to council and committee
needs by assisting with information requests, maintaining volunteer
services and records, scheduling facility space and providing
volunteer support as requested.
- Provides "hands-on"
assistance and work activity flexibility in all areas of assigned
responsibility, and other needs not mentioned, with the primary goal
of continuous improvement so the church can better meet its mission
and membership needs.
