Be a Piece of the Peace!
Register Today for the Northern Uganda Lobby Day
For
more than two decades, the people of Northern Uganda have suffered at the hands of a brutal
rebel force, the Lords Resistance Army (LRA). More than 80% of
civilians in the region, a total of 1.7 million civilians, are
currently displaced and live in squalid camps without access to
basic resources. Children have suffered most representing more
than half of the internally displaced population and more than
60,000 have been abducted and forced to be child soldiers.
You
can be a piece of the peace! The
U.S. government has a
critical role to play in helping to resolve the conflict in Northern Uganda. Your Congressional representatives need
to hear from you. Join more than 1,000 citizen advocates February
24-26 to learn more about the conflict and lobby your Members of
