Immigration and Refugees
The
ELCA message on
immigration was adopted by the Church Council in 1998.
In addition, the ELCA has adopted a
social statement on economic life, which is also used as the
policy base for many actions taken related to immigration and
refugees.
To learn more about the
ways in which the ELCA does advocacy, and its relationship to
the social statements of the church, explore "how
and why the ELCA does advocacy" on this site.
